Risk Appetite Framework application for Qatar National Bank

The solution was designed in collaboration with in516ht company.

Story behind:

Banks that take on too much risk can get into financial trouble. In some cases, they might even damage other banks and the economy. So they must know how to set their risk appetite. Client wanted us to create centralised application for managing bank subsidiary and bank units activities regarding risk appetite - ”Risk Appetite Framework”.

Below, I give you a quick overview of the planning process and final navigation wireframes. For the outcome of the UI design, I will keep you posted. So stay tuned 🖖

Project scope:

First we had to break down the user flow on to 4 phases. 1st phase: Collecting Data + automatic calculation. The lower scheme shows how to obtain basic data from which KPI’s are calculated. This is done either from a data warehouse (DW) or we enter it manually, with automatically calculated KPI and RAG statuses. 2nd phase: Confirmation (endorsing) of entered KPI data and RAG calculations for submitting reports to superiors (if entered data makes sense). 3rd phase: Monitoring whether these actions really affect the calculation and if they are implemented correctly. 4th phase: Reporting and Action tracking.

Then we set the application structure with wireframes for each user flow step.
