How to quickly and easily build a scooter with a child's bag? With RollJet builder!
RollJet is a unique, foldable scooter - combined with a school bag. It ensures a safe, fun ride while carrying a bag for your child.
The solution was designed in collaboration with DBP Design Studio.
Project scope:
The client wanted to set up a new RollJet builder on their webshop. The builder is supposed to enable the compatibility of RollJet school bags with RollJet scooters in a way that the user could build them in the web application upon his own choice - according to the size of the student and according to the design of each school bag. We first explored the good practices of existing builders, then we drew the user interface wireframes and made the prototype. The assignment also included a draft sketch of the user interface design for a mobile app.
The process that led to decisions:
The task had to be approached intuitively due to the lack of certain information (such as user research and user journey ...). We put ourselfs into the user's shoes and first draw quick site structure sketches and then started with the webshop wireframing process including the builder itself.
In the second phase, we sketched low-fi wireframes concentrated only on the builder - showing user steps for the building process.
In the third phase we prepared UI design sketch for mobile app.
